ZipGenius 6 is a very useful compress/uncompress tool for Windows and Linus.
As zip/unzip tool, ZipGenius is a very powerful utility: it supports many compression formats (more than 20 compressed archive formats, including CD/DVD-ROM image files in ISO9660 standard), and it shows all the compressed archive information (including the MD5 sum, signature, compresion ratio, etc.).
For compressed files, it offers the possibility of extracting one by one or all the files to a given folder, reload the list, etc.
For creating a new compressed file, it adds files and folders, inserts signatures and comments to the file (both can be preset by the user and use them all the time), export the file list as text file (txt), web page format (HTML), Comma Separated Values (CSV), XML file or attached to an email message.
Among the offered tools, multilanguage support for the user interface, compare MD5 sum, test files, repair files, encrypt and decrypt files, make exe files, insert data and time in file name, protect by password, make and recoves backup files lists, etc.
Many "zip" files can be moved from Windows to Linus environments and all the way back. It can create slide shows from pictures coming from TWAIN devices (scanners, cameras, etc.) or folders. |
